Company Officers

David "Mitch" Pendarvis (CEO) A native of Texas, Mitch grew up in a oil and cattle family in Bay City, Texas. Many of Mr. Pendarvis' family members were employees of Halliburton Brown & Root and upon graduation from High School, Mitch joined the Halliburton family in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Navy. After completing his duty with the Navy, Mitch attended college and with two Bachelor of Science degrees in hand from the University of Florida, he returned to the oil and gas industry. His time in the oil and gas industry has primarily been spent in exploration and drilling for oil, where he has developed many life-long relationships in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Pendarvis took over the reins of Southlake Energy, Inc in October 2009 and has led Southlake's recent foray into acquiring leases in several locales in Texas and he looks to expand the company's exploration activity and purchase of existing production and work-over projects in the near future. Mitch has been married for 10 years and he, his wife and son currently reside in Weatherford, Texas.

Mark J. Teinert (President) Since 2006, Mark has been involved in identifying assets with strong underlying value and strong  growth potential for purposes of acquisition. Recently those searches  have been focused on oil and gas properties and on distressed hospitality assets which have those same characteristics. With more than 20 years experience in the financial, securities and banking industries, his background lends itself to being able to locate such an asset. Prior to 2006, much of his time was spent on the formation of two private companies; one involved in mortgage origination software and the other company is involved in servicing the needs of the under-banked and under-insured populations in the U.S. Mr. Teinert began his career as a financial analyst for a publicly traded, Fortune 500 oil and gas company in Dallas, his work history also includes, working as a retail broker for Merrill Lynch, serving as a regional manager and an investment consultant for Cal Fed Bank (subsequently acquired by Citibank), and serving as an officer and director for Royal Financial Corporation, a publicly traded company which oversaw a large real estate portfolio. Mark lives in Ft Worth, Texas with his wife of 24 years; he received a degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1977.

James D. Henry (Geologist) Mr. Henry was born and raised the small North Texas town of Nocona in the northern Fort Worth Basin. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B. S. degree in geology, and then went to work for Getty Oil Company in Midland exploring the Permian Basin of West Texas, the Michigan Basin, and the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. In the 1970s, Henry spent two years in West Africa as a geological advisor to the Directorate of Hydrocarbons and the Bureau of Mines of the government of the Ivory Coast. Returning to Dallas he spent five years working for Mitchell Energy in the Fort Worth Basin and authored one of the earliest authoritative papers on the geology of the emerging Barnett Shale play in North Texas. He then spent nine years in Oklahoma City working first with Core Oil and Gas and later with Beard Oil Company exploring the Anadarko Basin, the Ardmore Basin, the Mid-Continent of Kansas, eastern Oklahoma, the Arkoma Basin, and waterflood prospects in the Fort Worth Basin. Returning yet again to Dallas in 1990, Mr. Henry founded Old Aulacogen, LP, and became an independent/consulting geologist and remains so today. During the interval of 1994 to 2006, Mr. Henry's participation in the oil and gas business was curtailed to some degree as he became the founder and principle partner in the Republic Of Texas Biker Rally, Inc., in Austin, a position from which he has retired in order to return to the oil and gas business. He is married to his first and only wife of six years and resides in Frisco, a suburb of far north Dallas.
